Do not buy

Just got this unit today and the dryer is making a scraping/grinding noise and gets so hot and smells like it’s burning. After reading all the reviews, I’m shocked this is still being sold.

Don't waste your money

This is the biggest piece of garbage I've ever purchase. The drum snags on so many items and the drain pump has failed 3 times now. I bought it new and I've had this unit less than 5 months and I now have to replace it on my own dollar because warranty has been no help. Never again. I'll go with a different brand moving forward.

Poor GE Quality, Not the Quality Grandma Remembers

The timer switch for the dryer on this unit is all plastic and is a primary failure point. GUD luck finding a replacement timer assembly for it, which is GE part number WE04X22654 (in case you need it), or Norman Pacific Part Number TMD1TM26 (234D1296P017)

Not happy

1 year ago and the dryer timer was always very stiff to turn. Plastic knob broke off and I tried to turn metal piece to finish drying my clothes. It broke off and now repair guy says it’ll cost as much as the dryer. ????????

I wish I could give no stars

This machine is just awful. I’m not sure what’s wrong with it when washing no matter how small the load the machine shakes like crazy I’m actually scared it’s going to fall over. It’s so loud ( I don’t want to do laundry at night because I have tenants downstairs ) doesn’t allow clothes to soak. When load is completely my clothes have to literally be wrung out from all the water. I have also tried the drain and spin but for some reason it still rinses on that setting not helping my issue. All in all. Horrible machine…

No soak cycle

The machine works just fine, but the maximum soak cycle is 15 minutes. This doesn't work if you need to soak infant clothing or want to use Rit dye as those both require much longer soaking. Just turning off the machine doesn't work either as after 15 min the water drains and that action can't be stopped.

Dryer works well BUT the lint trap doesn’t

I only recently put my hand where the lint basket goes and it appears the basket only has netting on 2 of the 3 sides that go into the dryer hole where it sits. My dryer is full of lint between the drum and frame. I am now afraid to use it for a long period in case it catches fire!

Terrrible!

I wish I had returned this when I still had the chance. It’s agitation is next to nothing and clothes barely get clean no matter what type of detergent I use or if I pre-treat. Anything I want to make sure gets clean now goes to the dry cleaner for fear of setting in any oil-based stains. They should not be allowed to sell this thing.
